Gracie Jessop - Teacher

Gracie Jessop (Gracie Jay) is a vocalist, arranger, and music educator based in Washington, DC. Her arrangements have been featured with the Grammy award-winning big band New Orleans Jazz Orchestra. She currently fronts big bands, and small ensembles, and performs as a solo artist. Gracie’s original and arranged music has been showcased in festivals and venues nationally. She has had the privilege of working with well-known artists such as Cyrille Aimee and Jamison Ross.

Gracie has been involved in music education for the entirety of her career. Most recently she served as an adjunct professor at Loyola University in New Orleans. Gracie continues to teach private lessons and works as an independent contractor for music programs.

Gracie shares her music with audiences, musicians, and students worldwide. She continues to illustrate her passion and commitment through her ongoing work in the music industry.
